Mah-Jong

Group convener - Sally Bohling

The group is meeting every week now that all players are becoming more familiar with the game. We meet on Tuesday mornings 10 am - 12 noon and there are usually eight players. We meet in the activity room at Greta Gardens and enjoy a cup of tea as we play! New members are most welcome.

Mah-Jong is a traditional Chinese game, played by four people on a table. The game is played with tiles rather than playing cards. The aim is to declare Mah-Jong first. This is achieved by collecting sets of pungs and kongs, or special hands e.g Gathering the Plum Blossom from the Roof. It's great fun and keeps the mind active.
