Skellingthorpe is a village, 2 miles to the south-west of Lincoln. Danish in origin, it was once the home of Skell's people. It is situated in the district of North Kesteven, and was the nearest village to RAF Skellingthorpe, a wartime Lancaster base in what is known as 'Bomber County'.

Skellingthorpe U3A was established in 2010 and our current membership stands at 47.

We meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 2.00 pm at Skellingthorpe Community Centre, Lincoln Road, Skellingthorpe, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, LN6 5UT

The annual membership fee is £16.00, with a door charge of £2.00 for monthly meetings, includes free raffle ticket. For visitors, the door fee is £3.
