Silhill

Cribbage Group

Cribbage Group

This group was formed in September 2014 and has 30+ regularly attending members. We are a friendly group, playing for fun and to test our grey matter.

New members are always welcome, from complete beginners to experienced players - there are people playing at all levels in the group and if you can count up to 15 and 31 you will be fine! Lessons are available for complete novices and revision sessions for those who can play but just need reminding of the rules.

We meet at Shirley Social Club on Marshall Lake Road, roughly every 3 weeks on a Tuesday or Thursday, and members are informed by email when the next meeting will be held, and also by a notice published in the events section of this website.

2018/2019 Crib League

Members of the group play crib at the sessions for the past 12 months. Their 6 best scores are counted towards their league position. The awards for this season were presented on 16 April 2019 by Dave Badger and the winners were Julie Lefevre, Bronze medal, Jackie Hildreth, Silver medal, and Sandra Thursfield, Gold medal and Anne Badger trophy. Congratulations to all!

If you are a member of Silhill U3A and are interested in joining this group, please contact Marg and Barry Toft through this website.

This group is run by Barry and Margret Toft.

Dates for your Diary
Thu Jun 20th The next session is on Thursday 20th June at 2:30 at Shirley Social Club, Marshall Lake Road. The bar will be open, and tea and coffee are available.
It is useful but NOT essential if you can let us know if you plan to attend, as it helps with numbers of tables we set up etc.
Best wishes, Marg and Barry
