The Singing Group meets at Marie Curie Hospice on Marsh Lane each Tuesday from 7.00 to 8.30pm. The group has about 60 members of which 15-20 are from our U3A. All singing abilities are welcome. You do not even have to read music. Donation of £1 each week which goes to the Hospice and helps pay for our refreshments and music.
We are very fortunate to have a wonderfully talented and entertaining director, Mr Stephen Perrins. Stephen graduated from Cambridge University with a BA (Hons) in Music. He also holds the Fellowship Diploma and the Choir Training Diploma from the Royal College of organists. He was the Music Director at Solihull School for 24 years, until his retirement last year.
Come early from 6:15pm onwards for socialising with coffee, tea and biscuits. Rehearsals start at 7pm.
This group is run by Mike Kinning and for more information please use this link Michael Kinning
