French Direction Vocabulary
Ou est/ou se trouve? = where is?
il y a un cafe pres d'ici? . = is there a cafe near here?
pour aller a la poste? = how do you get to the post office?
c'est loin? = is it far?
allez tout droit = go straight ahead
tournez a gauche/a droite = turn left/right
en face de = opposite ( remember de + le = du)
pres de = near to
a cote de = next to
devant = in front of
puis = then
jusqu'a = as far as ( remember a + le = au)
la bas = over there
traversez la rue = cross the street
prenez la premiere a gauche = take the first on the left
a dix minutes a pied = 10 minutes on foot
a vingt minutes en voiture = 20 minutes by car
continuer /continuez = to continue/continue
