Gardening

Group Coordinator: Marcia Legg

The Gardening Group's original aim was to meet with like-minded people who enjoyed gardening and wished to gain confidence to explore new ideas through sharing practical gardening tips. Over the years, we have attracted additional members who love to VISIT gardens, even though they may not have a garden of their own. The Gardening Group caters to both. The Group meets regularly, at least once a month, to visit gardens, attend demonstrations and to engage guest speakers to broaden gardening knowledge on a variety of related subjects.
An annual membership fee of £10 is charged to pay for room hire, speakers, administration etc. The group has over 70 members currently.
A committee of Marcia Legg (Co-ordinator), Deirdre Hands (Assistant Co-ordinator), Dianne Mooy (Secretary) and Marylou Jeffs(Treasurer) ensures these activities are sustained.

Dates for your Diary
Sun Feb 28th 2021 Plant and Seed Swap DATE TBD
During your Autumn garden tidy up, have you needed to split up some of your plants, take cuttings, or collect seeds, and you would like to share or swap with other like-minded gardeners?
We were planning an exchange before the COVID rules changed again. So, for now -- please safely store your cuttings and seeds and we will have a meet-up to swap once the rules are relaxed a bit.
