Art & Craft
Group Leader: Alison Hutton
The first few weeks will be concentrating on drawing, some of it will be very basic, just to get confidence back into putting pencil to paper. This is a great opportunity for anyone who has always wanted to release their artistic talent, but never quite got round to it. Pauline, Pat, Robin and I have put some thought into this and we have found following book ‘HOW TO DRAW ANYTHING’ compiled by Mark Linley is very helpful. This book is a good all rounder. Some of the drawing we will be doing will be linked to this book. It is in print and available from Waterstones cost £6.99. After following some of the projects we have found our confidence in drawing has increased and we are planning some day field trips.
Each session, First and Third Thursday afternoons 2 – 4pm, will look at a different angle and subject matter, e.g shading and shadows, perspective, etc.
If you would like to come along and enjoy doing your own type of art or craft, including paper craft etc. you’ll be very welcome. The company is convivial and we enjoy the time spent together.
There is a charge of £2.50 to cover the cost of the hall hire and light refreshments.
It would be good to see you on the 1st. Materials are supplied so you can 'have a go’ without any outlay – what have you got to lose.
The Art and Craft group meet at the Spencer Hall, which adjoins St. Margaret Church in Kineton Green Road (off Warwck Rd, opposite shops)
