Welcome to the Sidmouth u3a website. There is much information in the following pages so I hope you can find what you are looking for. However, if not, please get in touch with us via the contact page and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

The u3a is a national organisation for people no longer in full time employment and is run by the members for the members. Here in Sidmouth we have many members who are fully retired, and others who still work for some of the week. Our interest groups are spread over the whole month so there are usually groups available, for whatever free time you have.

We hold open meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of the month where we invite a guest speaker. To date, this year, we have had talks on Lundy Island, Thames River Police, SS Great Britain, as well as many other interesting subjects.

To help keep us all keep safe, we encourage all members to be fully vaccinated, sanitise their hands on arrival, keep a safe distance where appropriate and wear a mask if they choose to. Wherever possible, rooms will be well ventilated. You can find our full Covid Policy on this website.

Our social committee is hard at work planning lots of interesting activities for us to take part in. Details are sent to all new members when they join.

This year u3a celebrates 40 years activity in this country and Sidmouth will be joining in the celebrations. In September we will be opening the meeting to the general public to show the range of groups that we run. If you're not sure whether or not u3a is for you why not come along to see what we offer.

If you have any queries please get in touch and I hope to meet you as a member of Sidmouth u3a in the near future.
