Mono Photo Group

Leader : Roy Morton ; Meeting : Usually monthly, plus possible "location shoots".

The Mono Photo Group usually meets monthly including "location days". Previous activities have covered macro and close-up photography, day and night shoots in London and a morning trying out various exposure methods during a practice session at Brands Hatch. Skilled in basic photographic techniques, wish to try or rekindle interest in Mono- Black & White photography using a digital camera? Members photograph chosen themes, exchanging ideas and techniques, then compare results on a TV.

The Group has been submitting entries to the u3a Eye who are running a rolling project to encourage u3a members to take and submit pictures each month and invite members country wide to submit photos on that topic. "This is not a competition and it is not about photographic skill – what is wanted are interesting photos, possibly different ways of viewing things, anything which has captured your imagination or caught your eye.
