We are a small group of U3A members who enjoy listening to and/or playing Traditional music from the UK or around the world. You don't need to play an instrument or sing to come along. You might just enjoy finding out more about the subjects we cover in a friendly social group.
We have a theme each month and some of the topics we have covered include Christmas and seasonal music; music in Thomas Hardy's novels; industrial folk music; protest songs; music about the sea; the Sixties folk revival.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday mornings from 10 to 12 at the Inn on the Green, Bank Farm Road, Radbrook, Shrewsbury. There's a charge of £1 per session which includes tea, coffee and biscuits. The pub is accessible to the disabled, is next to the shopping centre and is easily reached by number 20 bus from the town centre.
You will be made very welcome.
