Shottery u3a would like to meet you
The u3a movement has been learning, staying active and having fun for 40 years - showcasing what it means to have a positive later life. It is a collection of groups (u3as) that run local and online member-led learning for those no longer in full time work across the UK. There are lots of opportunities to get involved with learning remotely or in our area.
Shottery u3a was started in 2008 and has less than 100 members but we are actively recruiting !

An annual subscription of £18 per Member is due in January each year. The Membership subscription entitles you to attend the Monthly Meeting and join any Interest Group, providing there is room, together with Outings and Theatre Trips. As the year progresses the subscription for the year is reduced for a new member.
All interest groups are self-organising, have a leader, and are run by the members for the members. Some meet in a member's home, others explore the local area. Any costs incurred are financed by the members of the interest group, for example you pay for your own lunch in the Lunch Club. Sharing transport to venues is encouraged whenever possible.
Visitors are also welcome at our monthly Meetings, paying £3.00 per visit. We expect Visitors to become Members within 3 visits.
Subject to availability, once you are a member of Shottery u3a you are also welcome to attend the monthly meetings of the other u3a Groups in South Warwickshire mentioned in the Links section on the right. Since April 2022, Shipston on Stour u3a have joined our network of groups that you can attend.
