Pop up - Birdwatching for Beginners
Birdwatching for Beginners
This pop-up will provide an opportunity to learn about the birds that use our tidal river during the winter months. It is open to anybody with an interest in birds and is ideal for absolute beginners.
Expert birdwatchers from Shoreham and District Ornithological Society have kindly offered to facilitate the session for us.
They will help participants to identify a range of the birds using the river, including gulls, waders, herons, and possibly a Kingfisher or two. They will also be able to answer questions about binoculars, specialised birdwatching telescopes, and local opportunities for birdwatching.
This is an outdoor pop up so please make sure you wrap up warmly. It will be held on Coronation Green, adjacent to the Ferry (pedestrian) Bridge on Shoreham High Street. Please bring binoculars if you have them.
Numbers restricted to 15.
If you would like more information or would like to participate please email using the bluebird email box on this page.
