Halloween Shakespeare: Witches, Ghosts and Superstition in Macbeth, Shakespeare’s Era and Now
This home based pop up session will seek to be exploratory and enjoyable – and in the spirit of Halloween.
We’ll use Shakespeare’s play Macbeth as a way of delving back in time to examine ideas about witchcraft, ghosts and superstition in Shakespeare’s England and since. You don’t need to have read the play to participate, as the coordinator will provide a synopsis.
We’ll draw on various learning resources that look specifically at these topics in Shakespearean England, as well as video excerpts from films of the play. You’re welcome to bring any Halloween related things you happen to have.
If you would like more information or to participate please email using the bluebird contact box on this page.
