Pop up - Gin Rummy
Many card games require four players. Gin rummy is a welcome exception, as it’s a game for two-players which is easy to learn, has few rules, but which faces you with intriguing strategic decisions.
Following on from the success of the first Gin Rummy pop up, two more are being scheduled for:
Tues 10th September 10am to noon
Tues 8th October 10am to noon
Priority for these will be given to members already on the wait list, but if you are interested in participating, please use the bluebird contact box on this page to contact the organiser.
If the game is new to you then this pop up provides an ideal opportunity to learn to play in a friendly atmosphere. If you’ve played before then it’s a chance to enjoy playing a few hands in good company.
Come on your own or with a fellow U3A member. During the session we’ll be playing in pairs. Games last typically about 15 minutes and we plan to rotate players, so there will be opportunities to meet and play against several other members.
If sufficient members prove interested, it is likely that the pop up will lead to the formation of a gin rummy interest group – probably meeting monthly.
This pop up will be led by Colin and held at his home in the Ropetackle area of Shoreham. Colin will provide all equipment needed. There are steps up to Colin's home.
