Do’s and Don’ts for Garden Group Members
DO reply to emails to let organiser know whether, or not you are intending to go on a visit. If you
don’t reply, we don’t know if you might turn up. Garden owners like to know numbers in advance
to prepare refreshments. Numbers required the Monday before the visit.
Members not on email will be provided with a schedule of gardens to be visited and are expected
to phone if they want to be included. Or they can provide the Coordinator with stamped
addressed envelopes if they require reminders.
DO let organiser know if circumstances change and you can’t go.
DO turn up rain or shine. It isn’t fair on garden owners if you stay away because of the weather.
They will have made cakes in advance. If they cancel that’s different. If you think a visit is likely to
be cancelled due to poor weather, please check your email before setting off.
DO wear sensible shoes and take a stick if helpful. Many gardens have steps and slopes.
DO offer to give the driver some money towards petrol if you accept a lift. 20p per mile divided
among the occupants of the car is suggested .
All meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month at 2pm unless otherwise stated.
