Life Story
We all have a story to tell; every life is unique, every story important.
Group Coordinator: | Sylvia |
Days/times: | Third Monday of the month, at 2.00pm |
Venue: | A member’s home |
We can all write! As Mark Twain said, ‘writing is easy; all you have to do is cross out the wrong words’.
The group aims to encourage its members to make a start, or to continue, with their Life Story and persist to its conclusion. Experience shows that regular attendance at the meeting motivates members to achieve their objectives. Whatever is shared at the meeting is confidential to the members attending.
Along the way we always manage to have a lot of laughs while making special friends as we share some of the up and downs of our lives.
Families and friends may welcome the results and in years to come our memories will add to the social history of our times. Reading our stories people may well wonder, ‘surely they could not have lived like that?’. Just think of a life story that might have been written in 1850, 1910, 1940 or even 2000.
An email will be sent monthly to remind group members of the date, who are asked to reply reply to say if they cannot attend.
