The Chattri memorial stands on the downs above Brighton. The memorial commemorates the injured WWI Indian soldiers who were brought to temporary hospitals in Brighton, but who sadly died of their injuries.

Built of white marble from Sicily, the Chattri was completed and unveiled in 1921. It is now a Grade II listed building and is cherished by the local community
