Italian

There are three Italian groups. Italian Beginners and Italian Improvers meet on a Thursday afternoon under the same leader. Italian Conversation meets on a Wednesday afternoon.

Italian Beginners & Improvers

Having lived in Italy for over forty years, teaching and running a language school the group leader has been teaching Italian at all levels since returning to the UK. She believes in good pronunciation and having fun. One hour sessions are long enough for total beginners. She uses ‘photo copies, so a ring binder is helpful. A sense of humour is very important.
Ariverderci a presto.

Italian Conversation

The Italian Conversation Group is for those with enough Italian to construct sentences and to get by in the language, and has proved helpful for those who have had some experience of Italian in the past and wish to refresh – it is therefore not for beginners. It is run on an informal, friendly basis, no teaching or academic ambitions. We meet on alternate Wednesday afternoons at group members’ houses, from 2.30 – 4.00.
