Church Crawlers

The expression ' Church Crawling ' was first coined by John Betjeman so that is the name we have adopted for the series of visits the group makes to historic churches in Dorset and Somerset.

Each pair in the group researches the history and architecture of two or three churches together with any local historical interest and presents it to the group.

We meet monthly to share our passion for the unique mixture that our local churches share of religion, history, sculpture, art, architecture, geology, geography and local biography.

We follow the church crawl by a pub lunch.
