Travel - Holidays Sept 2018
A 5 day Holiday break for September 2018
We leave the West Country and make a lunch stop in the pleasant city of Worcester. We then continue to Kidderminster where we join the Severn Valley Railway for a steam train journey to Bridgnorth travelling through the lovely Worcestershire scenery. We re-join our coach and continue to the Best Western Plus Moat House Hotel, Stoke on Trent.
The spectacular Ironbridge Gorge is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy an absorbing day visiting Ironbridge, one of the most important centre’s of the industrial revolution and now a delightful town of tea rooms, antique shops and, of course, the iconic bridge. We also visit Blists Hill, an open air museum where townsfolk in traditional dress re-enact life in an authentic Victorian community.

In the morning immerse yourself in the new World of Wedgwood interactive Visitor Experience. This new facility integrates the Wedgwood Museum and features a reinvented factory tour, inspiring flagship store, elegant Wedgwood tea rooms and a new restaurant. In the afternoon we continue to the Trentham Estate, where we can discover the superb Italian Gardens or simply enjoy a stroll around the lake. Also with over 60 retail shops on site, Trentham has something for all tastes.
We commence our journey home, though we still have time for one final visit which is to the RAF Museum at Cosford. The attraction has 70 historic aircraft for you to see displayed in wartime hangars, as well as the award-winning National Cold War Exhibition. Explore the huge wartime hangars where you can walk under the wings of Britain’s three V-Bombers: Vulcan, Victor and Valiant, and interact with exhibits telling the story of the Cold War.
