Interest Groups

Interest Groups are the life blood of the u3a, meeting regularly to study subjects of common interest. They are run by members who volunteer to organise meetings to share their knowledge and expertise with other members purely for pleasure and entertainment. No exams here!!

If you’re not sure whether a Group is for you, perhaps you’d like to attend one meeting as a visitor; you’ll be very welcome. Just contact Jo Sharpe, our Chairperson via the General button, or Pam Overson our Membership Secretary via the Membership button on the Contact page to let us know you're coming.

If you have an interest that is not yet represented why not start a new Group? You don't need to be an expert, just keen to learn with like-minded people. If you’re not sure how to go about starting a Group we can provide help to get going. You can also find help from the Third Age Trust, which has a Resource Centre and Subject Advice on its website.

Alternatively, if you'd like to share a skill but not start a Group, why not organise a Share A Skill Workshop? Again, we can help you organise this.

All our venues are accessible with the exception of those meetings held in members' homes.
