Theatre Visits
THEATRE GROUP
In October last year the Theatre Group visited the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil to see the very funny “9-5: The Musical” performed by the excellent Yeovil Amateur Operatic Society. Earlier this year a group of us travelled to the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, for a performance of Matthew Bourne’s “Cinderella” which was excellent.
In March we made a return trip to Yeovil’s Octagon Theatre to see the entertaining “Top Hat” based on the famous film starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Once again this was performed by the YAOS.
During the summer months we tend to stay a little closer to home and visit Sidmouth’s Manor Pavilion to watch a couple of plays from the Paul Taylor Mills’ summer season. If numbers are sufficient we travel by coach or otherwise car share and we usually have a lunch or supper before each performance.
