Walking netball is a slower version of the netball game. England Netball have ensured that it is still the netball game with a few varied rules to accommodate the slower pace.
The game has been designed so that all 'Over 60s' can play, regardless of their fitness.
During the restrictions of the pandemic and needing to be in an outside environment, we were welcomed by the Chestfield Cricket Club to train, have fun and keep up our fitness in their grounds. I am pleased to say that we can continue to stay there during the Summer months. The use of the amazing grounds not only allow us to play netball but also the opportunity to play other games, exercise to stay healthy and to have fun.
In the winter months we play at Kent University Sports Centre and meet up with a few other like-minded players. This gives us the opportunity to play on an inside, full-sized netball court in the colder weather using our skills that we have kept up during the Summer months.
We have the best of both worlds (or should I say seasons?).
Please look at our photographs showing us playing in our Summer and Winter venues.
