Ukelele songs Sessions: Weekly

Here's a great chance to busk along with a selection of songs on your Ukulele; If you don't have a ukulele, don't panic, we can lend you one and show you how to play it! [They are extremely simple instruments to learn]. We're even keen to meet you if you'd just like to come along and sing - after all the rest of us will provide a beautiful accompaniment.
We meet at Swagga Dance Academy each week (so there is a donation required towards hire costs, currently £3) but, beyond that, we can support you with our friendly group towards a development of your musical skills. We play songs from the last six decades (have a look at our songbook - it's available via the ukulele logo above) with an ever-changing list of both easy and challenging pieces. When we do a 'hard' one, there's group guidance to the best approach - and a much slower tempo!). If there's a particular favourite that you'd like to introduce, we have guest songs and will try and translate them into the easiest keys to play.
It's not all just musical merry making though, we stop midway to get our breath back, drink tea and coffee and socialise for a bit.

PLEASE NOTE - This is a group just for members of the Saxonshore u3a - we can allow a trial 'go' but membership of our u3a is necessary if you'd like to continue!
