Messages for U3A Joint Archaeology Group
Archaeology Group Sarum U3A
The group is shared with Salisbury and Spire U3A and meetings are held in the Salisbury Museum Lecture Hall on the second Tuesday of each month except August between 10.15 and 12 pm. The lectures are usually limited to 50 members. However there is no limit to the number on the group list for sharing Archaeology news and other related matters. Visits to places of interest to the group are also arranged but maybe limited to less than 20 members There is a charge per meeting to cover costs of the speaker and refreshments usually £2.50 but up to £5 for speciality speakers. The more attending the lesser the charge.
If you would like more information please contact Malcolm Burrows at firstname.lastname@example.org or tel 01722 416828 or 07943 697917
Please note that the programme up to December 2019 has been changed from previous notices, due to other commitments by some speakers.
Several members expressed an interest in Stuart Robson's programme of monthly Geology meetings which take place on the 3rd Tues of each month. They can accommodate a few more attendees at the indoor sessions - contact Salisbury 334310 for details of venue if you do not already know, or Malcolm. The only limit for outdoor meetings is the number of cars available. Often there are spare seats. See side of page for the programme in two parts. Please note that these meetings are separate to the Archaeology meetings held on the second Tuesday of the month.
