LUNCH CLUB OUTINGS 2019

HALFPENNY FARM in Oldbury was the venue for a small group to enjoy lunch in October. The carvery food was delicious, and the size of the desserts is something else! Very good and enjoyed by all.

A small group enjoyed lunch at the RIDGEACRE in West Bromwich. Not too far to travel and not too expensive either.

We paid a second visit to the WHEELBARROW CASTLE in Inkberrow where we enjoyed a very nice carvery lunch. Afterwards we made a brief visit to a small shopping complex just outside Inkberrow. Lovely day and lovely food too. [The pub does not have a website but more information can be found on Trip Advisor].

LUNCH CLUB OUTINGS 2018

THE DOWN INN, Bridgnorth, was once gain the venue for our Christmas lunch outing. The carvery was once again very, very good, and the desserts were just wonderful. The staff were very friendly, and everyone had a lovely time at this very popular Inn, which I am sure we will visit again.

WOLVERHAMPTON ACADEMY was visited by us in June where we all enjoyed a very nice lunch cooked and served by the students.

Our first outing this year was to the WHEELBARROW CASTLE in Inkberrow, Worcestershire. The meal was really lovely and the venue was really nice too, set in the countryside just outside the village.

LUNCH CLUB OUTINGS 2017
Our annual visit to THE DOWN INN near Bridgenorth was just as good as ever. Our group enjoyed a delicious carvery lunch served by very friendly and helpful staff, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. No doubt we will be going in 2018 - highly recommended.

The WOLVERHAMPTON ACADEMY RESTAURANT was the venue for our lunch club outing in June. Once again we enjoyed a delicious meal served efficiently and in a very friendly manner by the students. This venue is well worth a visit and is highly recommended.

In March 2017 we visited the UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM COLLEGE OF FOOD for a delicious lunch served by trainees. The food was excellent and we were looked after really well. This is a superb venue for lunch and is highly recommneded. We will definitely be making a return visit. One tip, it is always worth booking a table as the restaurant is very, very popular.

LUNCH CLUB OUTINGS 2016

We have been to eating places in Bromsgrove, Newport [Staffs], and Stone and also visited The Boat restaurant just outside Lichfield; The March Hare near Worcester; the White Harte in Kinver; and the restaurant at Bodenham Arboretum. We have also enjoyed lunch at Birmingham College of Food in Birmingham and Wolverhampton, plus the Black Eagle in Winson Green just outside Birmingham.

In the Gallery you will find quite a number of photographs taken during our lunch club outings. Links to places we have visited will also be shown under Lunch Club on our Links page.
