Bowls

We are pleased to announce that new Group Leaders for bowls have been appointed.

They are Ron and Norma Elliott who will be offering a short training course at Saltburn Bowls Club, for any skill levels from non bowlers to those who may not have played for a while, to include history, theory, etiquette and practical aspects of the game of bowls.

Bowls is a really good form of gentle exercise that can be played by all ages, it gives you the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new friends.

The sessions will take place on Tuesday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm starting on 22nd June, subject to the existing government road map.

Due to great interest this period is now full and we will be running a second weekly session on Thursday mornings from 10:30 to 12:30 starting on 24th June, this session has also filled up and a third session will begin on Tuesday 3rd August, this session is now also full and we have a short waiting list.

Please do not turn up at any of these sessions, we are now full for this year and hope to start again in May 2022

If you are interested please contact Ron or Norma initially on 01287 676520 to discuss it.

All bowls equipment will be provided for the training sessions, all you need to begin with is a pair of flat shoes, that will not damage the surface of the bowling green, and a sense of humour.

Many thanks to our predecessor Bryan Robinson for all the hard work he put in to set up the group initially
