Our 10th Anniversary

We celebrated our 10th Anniversary in October 2012.

With the Mayor of RYE, Councillor S Rogers in attendance at the October general monthly meeting, also our AGM when Danny Rushbrooke was installed as Chairman, we had a most interesting talk by Sheila Maddock our secretary about the early days, the startup, including a copy of the first poster advertising this then new U3A. This was followed by a Powerpoint presentation beautifully narrated by Noel Varley taking us through the 10 years, with speakers details & Groups data and activities, as well as photos of visits etc illustrating the growth of our U3A over that 10 year period. We had invited all groups to display examples of their activities and they're shown here; some groups have vacancies, some full at present but lots of scope for all to enjoy.
