Royston

Curry Club

Would you like to enjoy a chat and a curry with other U3A members?

The Curry Club is currently suspended

For this and future lunches or evening meals it is important that you book a place in advance with group leader Reg Hounsell

The Curry Club meets every 4 weeks on the 2nd Monday of each month.
Over time, members should expect to enjoy a range of venues specialising in one or more of Indian, Bangladeshi, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, Nepalese, Pakistani or Vietnamese cuisine. We hope to gain confidence in making choices and increase our understanding of how some of the dishes are put together.

Cost
Some venues offer a special lunchtime menu: a basic single dish (plus rice) for under £10. Most also still offer their full menu. It is up to each member to decide what they want to eat and how much they are prepared to pay. Each participant settles their own bill, preferably in cash. Drinks also need to be paid for separately.

Car Sharing
There are many good restaurants in villages and towns within a 45 minute car journey from Royston such as Stevenage Old Town, Papworth, St. Neots and Baldock. Some car sharing is helpful. Bus/train passes can be used to travel to locations such as Cambridge.

Please note that group size may limit which restaurants we can use.
