Rowlands Castle

Nature Walking

Come and join us for our monthly walks to enjoy the nature around us.

We started as a bird watching group, and while we still want to see as many birds as we can, we also want to enjoy the rest of nature that we see as we are walking – the flowers, trees and butterflies – and whatever else we can find.
We want to share our enjoyment and you do not need to know anything about birds or flowers to enjoy our walks.

We meet on 2nd Friday of each month, in the Rowlands Castle recreational ground car park at 9.00 am. We then travel to our chosen location, sharing cars. We are usually back in Rowlands Castle by 12.30, although some outings may be longer or shorter, depending on weather conditions etc.

Bring a pair of binoculars if you have them, and suitable clothing and footwear. Bring a flask and snack, if you would like to, for our mid walk rest. Maybe a bird or flower book if you have one.

We meet as a group of friends with a shared enthusiasm for nature.
