Philosophy
We meet: Last Friday of the Month 2.15pm in central Romsey, January - November

Our Activities: We meet in central Romsey at 2.15pm on the last Friday of the month. Our normal diet is discussion of a particular philosopher or school of philosophy, or current issue in ethics / religion / politics / aesthetics / etc. We have an introductory talk from one of the group (or sometimes an outside speaker) followed by discussion. Our meetings are open and friendly.
Recent and future topics include: The Enlightenment; How to be Old; 'Relative Truth?'; Humanism; The Political Philosophy of the Labour Party; The mystery and beauty of Mathematics; Romanticism as an artistic movement; What can we learn from Judaism and Jewish culture?; Language, translation & the search for meaning; ...
New members are normally welcome but to facilitate discussions and interactions the group is limited to 15, which it has now reached. There is an informal waitlist so if you are interested please contact the Group Coordinator using the email link on this page.
