All Roding Valley u3a members are welcome to book places on our outings.

VISIT TO LEONARDSLEE LAKES & GARDENS

Date: Thursday 6 June 2024

Cost: £28 per person (including all gratuities)
Pickup Points: Lidl, Loughton at 9.00 am then TB Village Hall at 9.15 am, Parking at TBVH must be reserved when booking.

Summer at Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens is particularly beautiful – with trees and plants in full bloom, including Rhododendrons and Azaleas with strong perfume and striking blooms.
A myriad of wildlife can be seen, (Stoats, Weasels, Field Mice and various types of deer with their young, and a number of wild Wallabies. (particularly in the area of Oak Walk). 65 different bird species have been recorded thriving in the gardens – and you might even spot baby owls being fed, and in some areas of the garden, and a pair of Red Kites can be spotted flying overhead.
Cafés, Dolls’ House Exhibition, Rock Garden, and Wallabies - all accessible by tarmac roads and paths. Accessible toilets are located at the visitor entrance and The Clocktower Kitchen.
A free Shuttle Service runs between the Clocktower Café and Engine Pond on most days from 10.00 to 15.00 for visitors with limited mobility.
