The group was the first Food Group to be established over 11 years ago. We jointly plan our programme which is mainly based around a lunch. We usually meet in a members' home but on occasions we eat out. We try different recipes often taking us outside our comfort zones sampling food from different cultures and dietary requirements. We try to eat in moderation but talk and laugh a lot.

The group continues its monthly "themed" meetings where we make either a main course or pudding and enjoy sharing the results.We meet in each others houses and once a year go out for a meal locally. Though we feel our shared meals are often on a par or are even better than those in restaurants! We have been going for many years but still find different subjects each month. If anyone wants to start their own food group they are welcome to come to a meeting to see what we do.
