Walking Rugby
Weekly, Wednesdays, 11.30 - 1pm in Whitton
Leader: Bob Dilley
Walking Rugby is a gentle contact sport, with players just touching the player with the ball who then has to pass it to another player on his side. However players are not allowed to run, and the game is played at walking pace. Points are scored by carrying the ball over the line at each end of the pitch.
Both male and female players can play in the same match. It can be played outside in the spring/summer, but it is recommended to be played indoors during the winter. There are no special requirements for clothing, except to wear loose fitting tops and bottoms and non slip shoes, preferably trainers or similar.
