Chair Exercises - Group Leader: Judith Loebl

Do you think you are fit? Do you have problems with balance? Do you have flexibility issues? Chair exercises are for everyone, giving a thorough, all-over body workout with a professional and qualified instructor.

Come and join our lively, fit and not so fit group of men and women weekly on Fridays 10.00-11.00 at Gants Hill. There is a charge of around £3.00 per session to cover the instructor's fee.

Charex-01It's Friday morning at the church hall
We wander in both large and small
We sit at our chairs and relax and wait
Till in comes Rama with lively gait.

We start to stretch and raise our arms
Hoops in ActionAbove our heads and have no qualms
As we take deep breaths both in and out
And whirl our limbs all round about.

Then we are given a soft round ball
But do we throw it round the hall?
Chairex-2Oh no we roll it down our legs
And balance it, it really begs
Description, as we lift and bend
Oh will this ever have an end?

And then out comes the plastic bands
Chairex-3We hold it tight with both our hands
And squeeze it round and pull it tight
And stretch it out with all our might.

Then it is the marching time
To swing our arms and legs with rhyme
Chairex-4And reason all together
Never mind the where or weather.

At last we can slow down and rest
With deep breathing and to test
Our stretchy arms and legs again
Chairex-5And say we don't feel any pain.
So our goodbyes at last are said
And we stagger home and collapse into bed.
