Arthouse Cinema - Group Leaders: Liz Kite and Lennart Christensen
Our film on Tuesday 30th April at 2.00 pm will be Farewell Mr Haffmann (Adieu Monsieur Haffmann), a 2022 French historical drama directed by Fred Cavayé and starring Gilles Lellouche, Daniel Auteuil, Sara Giraudeau, and Anne Coesens.
In Paris in 1942, François Mercier is an ordinary man who only aspires to start a family with Blanche, the woman he loves. He is also the employee of Mr. Haffmann, a talented jeweler, but faced with the German occupation, the two men will have no other choice but to conclude an agreement whose consequences, over the months, will upset the fate of our three characters.
Please be aware that due to the low number of members attending the screenings at OLRS, we have now moved the film group meetings back to our bungalow in Barkingside. On a happy note, this means that tea/coffee and biscuits will now be served again.
Any member of Redbridge u3a is welcome to join us for the films and even non-members welcome for ONE visit. However, I need to know in advance who's coming.
Contact: Liz Kite.
