The idea of U3A is people coming together to help each other and have fun. As a member of the U3A you may wish to just attend the monthly meeting or just join a group (or two or three) or maybe only go on the theatre outings. The choice is yours. The more you put in the more you get out of it. If you find there is no interest group you wish to join then why not start one? We welcome ideas for new groups.
Redbourn U3A has now been running for six years and is growing every year. We have over 300 members and many interest groups. There is also a very active Theatre Group and Outings/Holidays group. Click on the Theatre Group Link under groups for more information.
Redbourn U3A holds a monthly general meeting in Redbourn Village Hall with guest speaker, on the third Wednesday of each month. Doors open at 2.00 pm with the meeting commencing at 2.25 p.m. Details of the speakers are shown in the "Events" page.
Visitors can attend by prior arrangement with the Secretary, e-mail Redbournu3asecretary@gmail.com.
You are allowed three attendances at our general Wednesday meetings as a visitor if you contact the Secretary first (as above). Remember that you can attend up to three meetings as a visitor even if you are waiting to join. We have lots of information available about groups and events in the Centenary Room and you are welcome to have a free cup of coffee or tea and biscuit.
For information about joining Redbourn U3A contact the Membership Secretary via the Contacts Page. We do not have a waiting list but new members are admitted in groups quarterly and invited to a new members' meeting where there is information about interest groups and other activities and an opportunity to meet committee members.
For information about theatre outings or holidays click on the relevant BLUE heading on the groups page.
