CYBERCRIME PRESENTATION 2018
Nearly 200 U3A members from Rayleigh U3A and neighbouring Hockley& Hawkwell, Hullbridge, Leigh Belfairs, Riverside Hullbridge, Hawkwell Village and Eastwood U3As attended the Cybercrime Presentation at the Mill Hall on 2nd August. This was a joint U3A & Essex Police event.
We all learnt something new from the subjects that were covered which included protection from hacking, Wi-Fi hotspots, data leakage and DDoS attacks. Other topics covered included malware, ransomware, keeping our computer software updated and the importance of having secure strong passwords and keeping our credit cards safe.
