PATCHWORK & TEA
Place: Cloister Hall, Holy Trinity Church
Meeting: Every third Wednesday in the month.
Time: 1 pm - 3 pm
Level of work: This group is open to the beginner and the experienced worker. The only thing you will eventually need is a portable sewing machine (if you get bitten by the bug). Be warned once you start this hobby, you'll find yourself visiting fabric shops frequently, and also buying equipment that will make home sewing easier. To start with you can use my equipment, collected over many years - see previous remark!
Manufacturing/making: We plan to make a variety of items, starting with something very simple for everyone to gain confidence in machine piecing and to see 'if its for them'. We will then proceed with more challenging items, at the moment we are working to a Christmas theme on the premise that you can never start too early with Christmas despite what some people think. As to what can eventually be made, well that will be the individual's choice, I will offer help and guidance if and when its needed.
Menu: Tea and cakes provided at half time.
Group Leader - Kate Sawyer.
