Rayleigh Grange

Rayleigh Grange U3A was established in 2009 and we were delighted to celebrate our 10th anniversary last year (2019).

We celebrated our anniversary at a special event on Wednesday 5th June 2019 at Rayleigh Grange Community Centre. A buffet lunch was served to about 168 members along with a wonderful anniversary cake.

The Great U3A Bake Off! - Thanks to all the members who baked a cake for serving up after lunch with tea and coffee.

An excellent table magician entertained us while we ate.

We were then joined by James Grinter, who has more than 34 years experience as an Auctioneer and Valuer. James has been specialist advisor on antiques on BBC Radio Essex and an expert valuer for the BBC “Flog It” programme. Members brought along some antiques and pieces of memorabilia some of which James selected to include in his talk.

Thanks to everyone involved in organising the anniversary event especially the anniversary committee who are shown in one of the photos below. They are Pam Green, Sue Mahoney, Ann Rawlinson, Ann Clark-Overy and Lyn Farrow.

Special thanks also to Geoff Kittle who runs the Photography Group for taking the following photographs. Can you spot yourself?
