Rayleigh Grange U3A was established in 2009 and we are delighted to be celebrating our 10th anniversary this year.
We will be celebrating our anniversary at a special event on Wednesday 5th June at Rayleigh Grange Community Centre. A buffet lunch will be served and an excellent table magician will be entertaining us while we eat. We will be joined by James Grinter, who has more than 34 years experience as an Auctioneer and Valuer. James has been specialist advisor on antiques on BBC Radio Essex and an expert valuer for the BBC “Flog It” programme. We are inviting members to bring along an antique or piece of memorabilia and James will select some of these to include in his talk.
We have had to limit the number of members who can attend this event due to space restrictions but are pleased to say that everyone who had requested a place will be able to come. Unfortunately, if you have not already booked a place at this event we are unable to accept any further requests.
If you have booked a place but now find that you will be unable to attend please contact Ann Clarke-Overy to let her know.
Doors open at 12.45. Please sign in and go into the small hall at the back. Access will be given to the main hall once everything has been set up.
Photographs will be taken at this event and these may be used on our website, in the newsletter and may be submitted to Third Age Matters. If you do not want your photograph to be taken please move out of range of the camera.
Don't forget to bring along your antiques or collectables for James to cast his eyes over.
