Rayleigh Grange


Our monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month(except August) at the Rayleigh Grange Community Centre.
Doors open at 1.30 and the meeting starts at 2.00 prompt.

Priority for places on day trips and events will be given to Rayleigh Grange U3A members,
and non members will be offered places only when there is space available.
Please pay by cheque whenever possible, made payable to Rayleigh Grange U3A.
We regret that no refunds can be given unless your place can be resold.

Thu May 31st Riverside U3A Quiz Night
Jacky Hampstead, Chair of Riverside U3A in Hullbridge has invited Rayleigh Grange U3A members to join them at their quiz night at Hullbridge Community Centre.
Start time is 7.00pm with a cost of £4 pp. Drinks can be purchased at the bar, bring your own snacks (taking your own drinks is not allowed here).
Teams of up to 8 are invited to attend, also individuals who can join a team on the night.
Its just for fun - although it could be a practice run for anyone thinking of entering 'Mastermind' or 'Eggheads' !!!

Coaching, accommodation with breakfast and dinner plus entertainment and use of facilities at Warners, 2 day trips.
Birdwatching and Garden Groups
Mon Jun 25th Garden Group..A visit to RHS Wisley has been organised by Theresa McAninch, Group Leader for the Gardening Group. This is now open to all members. Please contact Theresa if you would like to go or for more information.
Leaving Grange at 9.15am.Trip to RHS Wisley open to all U3A members. The cost of coach is £11.00 per person and as our U3A is affiliated to the U3A entry is FREE to everyone.
Full payment can be made at the May meeting. Please pay at Gardening table by book stall or email me for postal details. Cheques payable to Rayleigh Grange U3A with Wisley written on back of cheque. Please put in envelope with names on front.

This should be a lovely day out, the extensive gardens will be at their best at this time of year. Refreshments available or bring a picnic.

This new production is a sizzling new musical featuring Bizet's classic score flavoured with authentic Cuban styles.
I have been on the 'phone to my theatre agent and have on hold 48 seats for the above show at Sadlers Wells. They are Rear Stalls Rows Q and R and our group price is £37.60pp and is booked for 18th August at 7.30pm. The reservation expires on Friday 9th February at 7.30pm so could you please let me know asap whether you would like to book tickets. Once I know definite numbers I will also see if we can get seated in Santore for our meal if everyone is agreeable.
I will let you know about meal/coach costs a little later once I get your response.
