Year Four: December 2017 - November 2018

Meeting up with old & new friends to explore panoramic and rolling landscapes is what this Group was formed for.
There's a full Itinerary of walks for 2018 view-able in the events diary and the links section of this web page. New members are always warmly welcomed.

View the 'Dates for Your Diary' section for our pending walk events. View the 'Links' section for an Alphabetical list of walk descriptions.

This year there will be walks in Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Cumbria and Norfolk.

We'd like to emphasize how we define the difficulty of our walks
We rate the walks we lead as 'Easy' or 'Moderate' or 'Moderate - Strenuous' and maybe now is a good time to clarify how we define the differences. "Easy" - Walks for anyone who doesn't have a mobility difficulty or specific health problem. "Moderate" & "Moderate - Strenuous" - Walks for anyone with country walking experience and a good level of fitness. Our walks may include some steep paths and open country, and they may be at a brisk pace. 'It always pays' to view the relevant walk descriptions to best help you to assess your suitability.
Walking boots and Hiking/Trekking Sticks are advisable, warm, waterproof clothing advisable.

New members are warmly welcomed. All of the Hikers members are encouraged to submit their favourite walks, pass to me or any of our group leaders via our bluebird icon your favourite start points and grid references and let us work together to expand our list of interesting Hikes/Walks
