Our group continues to meet on the third Tuesday of each month in members homes.
During the last few months we have read a varied selection of novels. Following a discussion on Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brook, we spent a day in Eyam,in Derbyshire, exploring the museum and areas of interest described in the book.
The next two novels did not provide the opportunity for follow up visits. Secret River by Kate Granville took place in Australia and One Night in Winter by Simon Sebastian Montefiore was based in Russia.
At our next meeting in October we will discuss The Tooth Tattoo by Peter Lovesey.
Considering the present current political situation, November's book - Rule Brittania by Daphne du Maurier -should be of interest .
We will finish the year with our Christmas lunch on December 19th
