Current Affairs - Live Chat

'Current Affairs - Live Chat' meets on the first Monday of the month from 2:15pm - 4:15pm

Leader: Kay Bagon

At Live Chat we have discussed many topics including banning certain children's fairy tales, selling arms to the Saudis, on-line doctors, and M&S selling hijabs to 3 year olds and is the social telephone call dead? Inevitably the topic of Brexit comes up.

Possible topics for discussion:-

  • Does this government have too much power?
  • In this age of equality, is women and children first still pertinent?
  • Should we allow Mobile phones for children aged 7?
  • First they cloned Dolly the sheep, Now they are targeting grey squirrels...
  • Nuclear power...a force for good?

Please send suggestions of topics and bring any cuttings which you would like to read and/or discuss.
