Current Affairs - Live Chat

'Current Affairs - Live Chat' meets on the first Monday of the month from 14:15 - 16:15

Leader: Kay Bagon

Our next meeting will be on Monday 4th November at 14:15

At Live Chat we have discussed many topics including banning certain children's fairy tales, selling arms to the Saudis, on-line doctors, and M&S selling hijabs to 3 year olds and is the social telephone call dead? Inevitably the topic of Brexit comes up.

Possible topics for discussion:-

  • Should the Labour Party choose a new leader or form a breakaway group?
  • Should we hold a second referendum?
  • Is the BBC impartial?
  • Should free travel still be allowed for over 65's in the London area?

A small group of us met in October to discuss such topics as:-
.The ramifications of police officers who gave false evidence to obtain search warrants, being cleared of misconduct.
. Are Extinction Rebellion's tactics justified?
. Diplomatic immunity
. Global warming and (Greta Thunberg)!

If you would like to come, please let me know.

Please send suggestions of topics and bring any cuttings which you would like to read and/or discuss.
