Network Quiz 2019

Friday 25th October 2019 – 1pm to 4pm

Woolmer Green Village Hall, SG3 6XA – Free Car Park

Teams of six people. Each U3A can initially enter a maximum of two teams. Price: £18 per table of six including refreshments. Trophy for winning team.

Teresa Feldman has offered to organize the team for the Network Quiz 2019. We have a team of six members.

We entered a team into the Herts U3A Network Quiz held on Friday 22 September 2017. The team consisting of Teresa Feldman, Roger Mackett, Joan Miller, Lorraine Oliver, Peter Turner and Ursula Whitehill came 11th out of 21 teams in the main quiz and 15th in the table-top quiz.

In 2016 Radlett & District U3A entered a team into the Herts Network Quiz held in Welwyn and organised by Melbourn & District U3A. The team consisted of Kay Bagon, Teresa Feldman, Roger Mackett, Lorraine Oliver, Peter Turner and Ursula Whitehill. The team came a creditable 4th equal (out of 21 teams) in the main quiz and 1st equal in the table-top quiz, and received the prize by being drawn out of the hat.

In 2015 a team was entered. They did reasonably well coming 11th out of 29 teams. The questions were an eclectic mix about the period 1945 to 1985. They came 14th in the tabletop quiz, being let down by a rather poor knowledge of children's TV characters and British film stars of the 1950s. The team consisted of Teresa Feldman, Kay Bagon, Roger Housechild, Roger Mackett, Lorraine Oliver and the late Philip Eastburn.
