TUTANKHAMUN EXHIBITION AT THE SAACHI GALLERY
Tuesday, 21st January, 2020 – leave Radlett 9.30am - £25

The legend of Tutankhamun captured imaginations globally when, in 1922, his tomb was unearthed by the British explorer Howard Carter and financier Lord Carnarvon. This exhibition, Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, will unveil more than 150 original objects from the tomb with 60 pieces travelling out of Egypt for the first and final time. Come and discover the most famous of the Pharaohs as you follow his passage into everlasting life, before the artefacts are permanently installed within the Egyptian Grand Museum.

A return visit to The British Airways Heritage collection. This will include a talk and a chance to look at the extensive document archive recording the formation, development and operations of British Airways and its predecessor companies as well as memorabilia and artefacts.

Lord’s is the most famous Cricket Ground in the world, steeped in over 200 years of history and tradition. Tours of Lord’s give you the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes at the Home of Cricket and explore some of the most famous sights in sport. Led by an expert guide, the Tour includes the Grade II* listed Pavilion, legendary Long Room, Players’ Dressing Rooms with the Honours Boards, etc.

Mon Apr 20th 2020 RUSSIAN CLASSICS AT THE ROYAL FESTIVAL HALL (Evening Performance)

Pablo Heras-Casado presents three vivid Russian works with the Philharmonia Orchestra joined by one of today’s most exciting young pianists, Daniel Kharitonov. He will be playing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No 1 which was the piece that first brought him to the attention of a worldwide public when he played it in the 2015 Tchaikovsky Piano Competition aged just 16.

The orchestra will also play Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
