It’s summertime! Join us for a day by the seaside. Spend time exploring the wonders of the Brighton Pavillion, the alternative life style offered in the Lanes, or for the more adventuresome of you, taking the British Airways i360 and seeing the town from above – plenty to do for everyone. Should the sun shine you could just spend the day eating ice cream and relaxing on the beach. Nearer the date we will let you have a short list of the main attractions and their costs should you wish to obtain tickets in advance.

HEMINGFORD ABBOTS FLOWER FESTIVAL
Sunday, 30th June – leave Radlett 9.30am - £20

We will again be visiting the Flower Festival which is held every 2 years in this very picturesque Cambridgeshire village.

At least 20 gardens, several of which will also be refreshment venues, serving light lunches and cream teas, will be open throughout the village for visitors to enjoy. Many of these large gardens lead down to the River Great Ouse. A rich assortment of exhibitions, displays, stalls and entertainment will ensure that there's plenty to keep you busy for the duration of your visit.

Once again we invite you to come and enjoy this barbeque dinner on this summer’s evening at the Café in the Orchard. Alex and his team will again serve us a delicious choice of food which will include both a fish option and a vegetarian option (if pre-booked). On arrival, you will be able to get the evening off to a swinging start with a glass of Pimms and once again we will be able to enjoy music from Alan and Carmel Byers.

The mansion, at the heart of this estate, is evidence of Elsie Bambridge's success in creating a home. Intimate rooms contrast with beautiful and unexpected Georgian interiors, including Soane's breathtaking Yellow Drawing Room and wonderful plunge bath. The fascinating basement corridor offers a glimpse into life below stairs. Stroll around the colourful parterre garden and wander through the Pleasure Grounds to the Walled Garden, abundant with fruit, vegetables and beautiful herbaceous borders. At Home Farm discover our shire horses, rare breed sheep, cattle and pigs.

Mon Aug 12th ROYAL HOSPITAL CHELSEA & ARMY MUSEUM
Monday 12th August – leave Radlett 9.30am - £22


Join us for a visit to the historic home of the famous Chelsea Pensioners.
The Royal Hospital is a Grade I and II listed site, a beautiful architectural legacy left to us by Charles II and Sir Christopher Wren. Chelsea Pensioners, have all served as ordinary soldiers in the Armed Forces at some point in their lives, and now, in their later years, find a warm welcome amidst the camaraderie and banter of their fellow veterans.

We will enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful 17th century building and gardens.
Prior to this, we will have a short visit to the National Army Museum which is adjacent to the Hospital. This will give us the opportunity of exploring the museum and taking advantage of their café.

Wed Sep 18th HAMPTON COURT PALACE
Wednesday, 18th September – leave Radlett 9.30 am - £35.50/£20 for Historic Palaces members


We will have a guided tour to experience the public dramas and private lives of Henry V111, his wives and children in the world of the Tudor Court. Admire Henry’s Great Hall, the infamous haunted Gallery and the Tudor Kitchens. You will also have time to explore the magnificent gardens by the River Thames.
