U3A Racketball

Did you play tennis or squash in your earlier years? Would you like to try Racketball which is similar to squash but not so fast? Would you like a different kind of exercise? If so then why not come along on one of the following dates and give Racketball a try. We meet on alternative Monday afternoons from 3.00-3.45 at Radlett Tennis and Squash Club and play 'round-robin' games. The existing players are varied in age and ability so anyone can feel at home - none of us are experts! The next dates are: Mondays 17th June, 1st, 15th and 29th July, 12th August and 2nd September. If you would like more information then please contact me via the Carrier Pigeon.

Racketball is a fairly strenuous game – a cross between squash and tennis and played on a squash court with a larger ball and larger racket head than a squash racket. Please ensure you are fit enough to play, checking with your doctor if necessary, as the Radlett U3A insurance does not cover personal injury.

We are a small but friendly group who do not take ourselves too seriously so if you would like to give it a go everyone is entitled to two free sessions so if you would like to give it a go then please contact me via the Carrier Pigeon. We meet on alternate Monday afternoons at Radlett Lawn tennis and Squash Club with free parking, opposite Christchurch at 3.00pm. Rackets and balls are supplied – you just need tennis type shoes or trainers. We have three courts booked for 45 minutes – that may not sound long but for us it is quite long enough! The cost is approximately £2 per session payable in blocks as the court bookings are made – see the next block of dates below.

The next dates are:

17 June
15 and 29 July
12 August
2 September
