Radlett & District

Walking 4-5 miles

Leader: - Bruce Line

This is an ‘Open Group’, meaning that all Radlett & District U3A members are welcome. However, please note that participants are responsible for their own welfare and ensuring that they are physically able to take part in the activity. They should also be suitably equipped with clothing and footwear for the weather and country footpaths.

Day and time: on a Tuesday morning, usually at 10am. The walks take between one and two hours. The distance and speed depend on the conditions and who is leading the walk. Most walks average about 3 miles per hour.

Tuesday 27th August

The walk will start at 10.00 from the free Riverside Car Park, London Colney, AL2 1QA, next to St Peters Church. We will be exploring the area between London Colney and Colney Heath, through Willows Farm and around the fishing lakes. (Sorry, no dogs are allowed around the lakes.)
Lunch is available at the Green Dragon pub opposite the car park.
Led by Tricia Milne

Tuesday 24th September
The walk will start at 10:00 from the car park at the Radlett Rugby and Cricket Clubs, Watling Street, WD7 7JN, and walk across to Letchmore Heath
Led by Roger Mackett

Many thanks to all the U3A members who offer to lead a walk. If you have a particular walk that you would like to share with our members, please contact Bruce Line, using the email icon, to arrange a date.

If you enjoy walks in the country please put these dates in your diary. If you are interested in more walking, outside U3A, then click on the link to Hertfordshire Health Walks on the right.
