Leader: Harvey Miller
Day and time: usually first Tuesday of the month, 11.00 am to 12.00 noon
Next history meeting will be on Tuesday 4th January @ 11am. The subject of the meeting will be the life and death of Sir Roger Casement. This will be a zoom meeting and all U3A members are welcome.
Our meetings are usually about an hour long and presented on any historical subject of the members choice.
Group Members take it in turns to prepare a presentation for the group.
Our history group is a small friendly gathering of like-minded individuals. Whilst membership is restricted, we would welcome new members who would be prepared to give a presentation on any historical subject of their own choosing or alternatively allow us to use their home for the occasional meeting. The presentation normally is about an hour and we finish off with coffee and chat.
We do not charge any entrance fee but we do require that our members are prepared to either give a talk on any historical subject of their choice or be prepared to offer their home as a venue for the meeting or both.
Our meetings are held in members houses with about 16 to 18 members attending and we don't charge for entrance.
